The New Media Writing Prize 2019
Organized by Bournemouth University UK
Cash prizes in five categories: £1000, £750, £500, £750, £500 all open to students
An annual international competition celebrating digital interactive storytelling, encompassing stories in any genre, poetry, games, journalism, non-fiction.
The competition is in its tenth year and as such gets very good coverage, e,g. recent special events at the British Library, UK. Funded entirely via donations, not-for-profit. Open to everyone, but there is one special prize aimed just at students. No particular skill level is required, although we do get entries from the best digital artists around the world. We encourage non-techy people to enter the Skylab Innovation award which is for a piece made in Genarrator, a very simple digital tool. Don't be put off by the tech! The website has all the details of how to enter and what the various categories require. Entry is free.
